It's been no less than 10 days since the Bloom festival shut up shop for another year and they've just announced early bird tickets for their 2008 bash… Get them while they're hot!
The term boutique festival is thrown around all too easily these days. While many should be filed in 'medium sized' event, Bloom truly is a boutique festival.DataBass was on hand to witness their second festival (their first at Dyrham Park, nr Bath), suffice to say it was a blast. Filling their maximum occupancy of 5000, Bloom provided the unique feeling of intimate business. Chilled, but hectic; in a world full of over-hyped festivals with tiresome line-ups, Bloom is special. And if you don't believe us, ask anyone who grooved their sweet behinds off to Coldcut, Soul 2 Soul or Long Range. Or indeed anyone who took part in Thumbs Aloft's world record breaking game of musical statues, or witnessed their rather trippy UFO launch to the soundtrack of 2001 Space Odyssey!
Bloom was so special, in fact, they've already announced that they'll be back next year and have released 500 early bird tickets at the princely sum of £50. When you consider the price of many one day festival passes, £50 for three days of al fresco fun, you really can't go wrong. Hurry, though, they've promised next year's bash will be even better!
