Artist Profiles :: Tim Deluxe

Tim DeluxeIf you were one of the Miami contingent out in force, the chances are, you've already heard this: on Nikki Beach for the Radio 1 party, at the Crobar for the Subliminal/Underwater Sessions or at the Missdemeanours/Southern Fried party at The Nash... 'It Just Won't Do' - Morillo, Cook, Tong, Lottie and Yousef played it; And Jo Whiley, Nemone, Gilles Peterson and Steve Lamaq have all played it on their Radio 1 shows - It rocks.

'It Just Won't Do' - Already a Number One Miami Buzz Track and already a track that has gained accolades from DJs and journalists across the spectrum. The groove, the vocal (the trumpet!) and the base all lock together perfectly to create a destined party anthem. It will lift you up, it will make you smile - it will make you sing. And play with your imaginary trumpet'

Tim Deluxe first erupted onto the scene in 1997 with 'RIP Groove' (under his and Omar Amidora's Double 99 pseudonym - on Icecream Records), he then went on to make the highly acclaimed Double 99 Album: 7th High. In 2001, Tim went solo and released 'Sirens/We All Love Sax' (on Underwater) and went on to remix Kylie Minogue's 'Can't Get You Out of My Head', Lo-Fi Allstars' 'Sleeping Faster' and most recently: Layo and Bushwacka's 'Love Story' - a Number One Coolcuts track.

In July, Tim and Darren Emerson mixed Underwater's first compilation album: 'Underwater: Episode One', which includes tracks from Muzik Junkies, Layo and Bushwacka, Steve Mac, Mutiny and Gus Gus. The launch parties took place on June 15 at Sanky's Soap, Manchester and June 29 at The End, London.

Tim also had an exclusive residency at Pacha, Ibiza this summer - for the Subliminal/Underwater Sessions, plus sets at Homelands, Creamfields and gigs at clubs throughout the UK and the world.
